Abstract:
»Amanda Spallacci examines mimetic representations of trauma in Monster (2003), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), and Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003). She argues that by focusing on the effects of trauma rather than the acts of sexual violence, each individual rape is presented as being part of a much larger chain of violence against women.«
